Submit

To submit reviews, suggest a workshop, apply for a guest editorship, or for general information, email chicagoartistwriters@gmail.com. We encourage students or recent graduates of BFA or MFA programs to submit (but we can make exceptions).

Reviews should be primarily of exhibitions at alternative, temporary or nonprofit spaces in Chicago. Reviews should be no more than 500 words and include no more than three images (with appropriate credit information and at least 500 px wide). Both experimental and traditional forms of criticism are acceptable. It is preferred that reviews are submitted within seven days of the exhibition opening. Exhibitions reviewed are chosen by the writers.

Reviews will be guest edited by a wide range of cultural producers, critics, and art workers in Chicago.

Bi-monthly workshops will bring in working professionals to introduce new skill sets, critical perspectives, and mentorship, fostering further dialogue on the urgent need for and changing face of contemporary criticism.
